Australian Communications Authority   Lyons & Lyons Pty Ltd PO Box 1150 OSBORNE PARK WA 6017 Dear Sir/Madam NEW EMC COMPLIANCE ARRANGEMENTS AS OF NOVEMBER 2001 As your Company is a registered ‘C-Tick’ user with the Australian Communications Authority [ACA], this letter is to inform you that the ACA has made a number of changes to its Electromagnetic Compatibility [EMC] Scheme. The changes are an outcome of a review into the EMC arrangements to: Improve compliance arrangements required by equipment suppliers to meet EMC Harmonise the EMC schemes between Australia and New Zealand. Changes to the arrangements are detailed in the attached summary. A major benefit from the change is that the EMC arrangements in Australia and New Zealand are now aligned. Electrical/electronic products that meet either the Australian or New Zealand EMC arrangements can now be supplied to both countries without additional regulatory processes. Previously, separate regulatory requirements applied.
